Beyond The Screen at the ICAD 2025
Expanded animation showcasing two installations where each represent two contrasted method of creating animation.
This work was shows for public in the Indonesia Contemporary Art and Design (ICAD) 2025, Hotel Grand Kemang, Jakarta, Indonesia.

This installation explores two contrasting approaches to motion: the illusion of movement through frame-based animation and the tangible motion generated by a haptic device with 208 servo-controlled pins. At ICAD 2025, the work was presented in a smaller exhibition space, where the size of the translucent screen was adjusted to fit the room while maintaining the overall installation structure. Touchable frames arranged sequentially invited visitors to physically engage with the illusion of motion, while the haptic device translated animation into a tactile experience that could be felt through the hands. Combining visual projection, sound, and touch, the installation continued to explore animation as an embodied and multisensory experience beyond the conventional screen.
